Error Spotting — SSC वाली गलतियाँ
Article, SVA, preposition, tense, redundancy — SSC error spotting के जाल। नियम हिंदी में, वाक्य अंग्रेज़ी में। GKSchools 2026।
Error spotting में एक वाक्य तीन-चार भागों में बँटा होता है; एक भाग अशुद्ध होता है या पूरा वाक्य शुद्ध। SSC नियम पूछता है, शैली नहीं।
पहले Subject–Verb, फिर article (a/an/the), फिर preposition, फिर tense/समय-सूचक, फिर redundant शब्द (return back, discuss about)। यही क्रम तेज़ जाँच है।
कट-ऑफ या पेपर-वर्ष यहाँ नहीं हैं — पैटर्न साल-दर-साल एक जैसे रहते हैं: one of the, senior to, no sooner…than, despite, news is।
नियम
- One of the + plural noun + singular verb। One of my friends is a doctor. गलत: one of my friend / friends are.
- Each / every / either / neither + singular। Neither of the boys has come. Each of the students was given a book.
- A number of + plural verb; The number of + singular। A number of boys are absent. The number of boys is fifty.
- As well as / along with / together with — क्रिया पहले कर्ता से। The captain as well as the players was present.
- Neither…nor / either…or — नज़दीकी कर्ता। Neither the teacher nor the students are ready. Neither the students nor the teacher is ready.
- News, politics, mathematics, measles — singular। The news is good. Physics is difficult.
- Scenery, furniture, information, advice, luggage — uncountable, plural रूप नहीं। The scenery of Kashmir is charming. नहीं: sceneries.
- Article: a university (yu ध्वनि), an hour (silent h), an MLA / an SDO (स्वर ध्वनि)। the तब जब निश्चित।
- Adjective/adverb: She sings well (नहीं good)। He looks sad (linking verb के बाद adjective)।
- Tense+समय: I saw him yesterday. नहीं: I have seen him yesterday. ago/last/yesterday → Past Simple.
- Know, believe, own, belong — stative, Continuous नहीं। She knows the answer. नहीं: is knowing.
- Comparative: He is better than I (am)। नहीं: more better. senior / junior / superior / inferior + to, than नहीं।
- Prefer + to, not than। I prefer tea to coffee. Preferable to भी to लेता है।
- Discuss, describe, order, stress — about नहीं। We discussed the plan. Enter the room (into तभी जब अंदर घुसने पर जोर हो)।
- Despite + noun/gerund; in spite of + noun। Despite the rain / In spite of the rain. Despite of गलत।
- Comprise = include; of नहीं। The union comprises twenty states. Consist of सही है — दोनों मिलाएँ नहीं।
- Cope with, नहीं cope up with (SSC मानक)। Dispose of, नहीं dispose off.
- No sooner + had/did … than (when नहीं)। Hardly / scarcely … when। As soon as अलग संरचना है।
- Too…to: He is too weak to walk. So…that: He is so weak that he cannot walk. दोनों मिलाएँ नहीं।
- Since + बिंदु समय (since 2020, since Monday); for + अवधि (for two years)। I have lived here since 2018.
- Who/whom: who कर्ता, whom कर्म। Whom did you meet? The boy who came is my cousin.
- Parallel: She likes singing, dancing and reading. नहीं: to sing, dancing and read.
- Redundant: return back, repeat again, enter into (unnecessary), raise up, can be able to — एक शब्द काफी।
- Lie (लेटना) — lie, lay, lain; lay (रखना) — lay, laid, laid। He lay on the bed yesterday. He laid the book on the table.

No sooner के साथ when चलता है?
नहीं। No sooner had he reached the station than the train left. Hardly/scarcely के साथ when आता है।
Despite of क्यों गलत?
Despite स्वयं preposition है: Despite the rain. of लगाने पर in spite of वाला ढाँचा गलत जगह चला जाता है।
सभी भाग सही हों तो?
No error छाँटें। जबरदस्ती गलती मत निकालें — कभी-कभी पूरा वाक्य शुद्ध होता है।
