Class 7 Mathematics Important Questions with Answers
Class 7 Mathematics is the first year many students meet negative integers on a number line, two-step equations, and area of a parallelogram in the same notebook. This page is a chapter-wise question bank, not a dumped PDF: each set is written for the rationalized NCERT 2023–26 book so you can revise Integers on Monday and Perimeter on Friday without mixing Class 6 leftovers. Use the MCQ test with hidden answers first, then write the short proofs. High-search practice queries — class 7 maths important questions, simple equations worksheet, triangles properties MCQ — are grouped here so search and study land on the same chapter chip.

High-search practice queries — class 7 maths important questions, simple equations worksheet, triangles properties MCQ — are grouped here so search and study land on the same chapter chip. You are on the full Class 7 Mathematics bank (All Q&A), page 1 of 9 — 169 questions in this filter. This page lists mixed MCQ, short and long items so a weekly test feels like the school paper. Reveal a key only after you have written your own line. High-search phrases such as class 7 mathematics important questions and कक्षा 7 गणित प्रश्न उत्तर are mapped to these chips, not to an empty database shell. Phone layout: chapter chips scroll sideways, answers stay inside a tap, and the next page is a numbered link so Google and students both get a short URL. Chapter-wise unique notes — Class 7 Mathematics
1. Integers पूर्णांक
Integers in Class 7 close the gap between “minus means take away” and a real number line that runs both ways. Addition of two negatives, subtraction as adding the additive inverse, and the product of unlike signs are the three facts unit tests keep recycling. A number-line jump of −4 then +9 is not a trick — it is how temperature and bank balance are modelled. Practise properties (commutative addition, not subtraction) before you open word problems about floors of a building. This chapter’s questions stay inside NCERT examples so you are not solving Class 8 rational-number identities yet.

2. Fractions and Decimals भिन्न और दशमलव
Fractions and decimals are the same family written two ways. Class 7 asks you to multiply a mixed fraction by a decimal, then put the answer back as a simplest fraction. Place-value mistakes (0.3 × 0.3 = 0.9) cost more marks than “hard” word problems. Recurring ideas: product of two proper fractions is smaller than each factor; dividing by a fraction is multiplying by its reciprocal. Keep one column for equivalent fractions and one for money/length conversions — both appear in the same exercise set in the rationalized book.
Practice Fractions and Decimals →
3. Data Handling आँकड़ों का प्रबंधन
Class 7 data handling is not “draw any bar”. You must choose a scale, read a double bar graph, and say which average — mean, median or mode — fits the story. A cricket scorecard and a class-height list need different representatives. Probability here is still experimental: equally likely outcomes of a die or a coin, written as a fraction between 0 and 1. Questions on this page force you to compute, not only colour a pictograph.

4. Simple Equations सामान्य समीकरण
A simple equation is a balanced scale. Transposing a term is the clean Class 7 method — move with a sign change — rather than “do the same to both sides” in long sentences. Word problems hide the variable as age, rupees or number of notebooks. Check by substitution; if the left side is not the right side, the solution is not a solution. These MCQs punish forgetting to change the sign when a term crosses the equality.

5. Lines and Angles रेखाएँ और कोण
Adjacent, complementary, supplementary, vertically opposite and linear pair are five names for situations you already see in a window frame. Class 7 proofs are short: vertically opposite angles are equal because they share a linear pair with the same neighbour. Parallel lines are only previewed; the heavy lifting of corresponding angles waits for later, but the vocabulary must be exact now. Draw, name, then compute — that order stops 180° and 90° mix-ups.
Practice Lines and Angles →
6. The Triangle and its Properties त्रिभुज और उसके गुण
Angle sum 180°, exterior angle equal to the sum of remote interiors, and the inequality that the sum of two sides beats the third — these three run every Class 7 triangle paper. Median, altitude and angle bisector are different line segments; calling them the same is a common Hindi-medium slip. Isosceles base angles and right-triangle Pythagoras appear as numericals, not as Class 10 similarity.

7. Comparing Quantities राशियों की तुलना
Ratio, percentage, profit-loss and simple interest sit in one Class 7 chapter so that 12% of 250 and a 1:4 mixture are the same skill. Convert ratio to percentage before you compare “which shop is cheaper”. Simple interest I = (P×R×T)/100 is enough; compound interest is not the Class 7 target. Keep units: time in years, rate per annum, principal in rupees.
Practice Comparing Quantities →
8. Rational Numbers परिमेय संख्याएँ
A rational number is p/q with q ≠ 0. Class 7 extends integers: negatives on the left of zero, equivalents like −3/4 = 3/−4, and the idea that between two rationals there is always another. Operations follow fraction rules with extra care on signs. Standard form means a positive denominator. This chapter is the bridge to Class 8’s denser rational-number identities.

9. Perimeter and Area परिमाप और क्षेत्रफल
Perimeter walks the boundary; area paints the inside. Class 7 formulas: parallelogram base × height, triangle (1/2)bh, circle 2πr and πr² with π as 22/7 or 3.14 as the question states. A path around a garden is outer minus inner — do not add both perimeters. Units must match before you multiply. These questions are written as board-style numericals, not colouring-book shapes.

10. Algebraic Expressions बीजगणितीय व्यंजक
Terms, factors, coefficients and like terms are the grammar of Class 7 algebra. Adding 3x² and 5x² is allowed; adding 3x² and 5x is not a single term. Find the value of an expression by substitution after you have simplified. Monomials, binomials and trinomials are named so that later identities have a language. Keep one notebook column for “degree” so Class 8 polynomials do not feel new.
Practice Algebraic Expressions →
11. Exponents and Powers घातांक और घात
aᵐ × aⁿ = aᵐ⁺ⁿ, aᵐ ÷ aⁿ = aᵐ⁻ⁿ, (aᵐ)ⁿ = aᵐⁿ and a⁰ = 1 (a ≠ 0) are the four laws Class 7 actually tests. Negative exponents are only a preview; the paper wants expanded and exponential form of large numbers such as 1,00,000 = 10⁵. Standard form for scientific notation starts here. Watch the base: 2³ × 3³ is not 6³ unless you use (ab)ⁿ = aⁿbⁿ.
Practice Exponents and Powers →
12. Symmetry सममिति
Line symmetry and rotational symmetry are different tickets. A square has four lines and order 4; a parallelogram that is not a rhombus may have rotational order 2 and no line. Class 7 asks you to mark the lines on letters of the English alphabet and on regular polygons. Do not invent extra lines on a scalene triangle.
Practice Symmetry →
13. Visualising Solid Shapes ठोस आकारों की कल्पना
Nets of a cube, views from front/side/top, and Euler’s idea that faces, edges and vertices talk to each other — that is the Class 7 solid-shapes chapter. A cube net cannot be a straight row of six squares. Count edges of a triangular prism before you guess. These questions train exam diagrams, not art class.
